This website has been a labor of love and has been my way of remembering all the happy years I had at Derby Elementary, Kearney Junior High, and Adams City High School  from 1950 through 1962.  I think fondly of my friends and the good times we had.  Even though I was shy and sometimes felt like I was on the outside looking in (who didn't), I look upon our school years as a time of magic and wonder.  I'm sure you do too.  This web site is dedicated to you and the years you spent in Union No. 1 - Adams City High School and the other Adams County School District #14 schools.

Now that our old school is closing to make way for a new high school, it is time to honor and preserve the history,  memories,   photographs,  memorabilia and genealogy of Union No. 1 - Adams City High School for  our children, grandchildren, and generations to come.  

As the Historian and Archivist for the Union No. 1 - Adams City High School Alumni Association, it is my duty to document our history, gather the memories, and preserve the memorabilia of our school and the district.  I need your help.  If we don't do this right now, who will?  Time is of the essence! Please take a few moments to complete the "Share your memories" form.  

Consider the Association as you clean your closets and attics.  Donate your school memorabilia and photographs.  Your items will be carefully preserved and displayed at alumni luncheons, reunions, and other school functions.  Check the "Reunions - Past" for photos of the displays.  Items are also on display at the Adams County School District #14 offices.  Hopefully, there will be display cases at the new high school too.   

I am absolutely pasionate about our school, the alumni association, my class and all the other classes too, this website, our individual web sites,  finding lost classmates, planning class reunions, ossisting other classes, preserving our history and memorabilia, and most of all you and our friendship in the past, now, and  in the days to come.   Life is too short - Let's stay in touch!  After all,
